Intervention against charcoal burners for environmental pollution

Investigating the charcoal burners in Santa Martha

Different authorities of the Ucayali region intervene together with the ambassador of the indigenous people against the charcoal companies for the environmental pollution in the native community Santa Martha de Pucallpa, including the National Water Authority A.N.A., the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Culture and Development, the Provincial Municipality of Coronel Portillo, the Regional and Wildlife Management, the Manager of the indigenous peoples, the Chief of the community and others, accompanied by the indigenous population.

Ambassador Roger Bardales has initiated investigations to prove that the charcoal burners pollute the air and water of the Community's lagoons, block access to water and act without authorisation.
