Roger Bardales was officially recognized as the new Ambassador of the indigenous people in the Ucayali region of the Peruvian Amazon, through a resolution issued by the Koshikox Council of the Shipibo Konibo Xetebos with the participation of the main authorities of the Region.
Accompanied by guests from European countries, in a public ceremony he offered to manage scholarships for young people, set up a Language Center and build a House of Crafts.
After the formal act that took place in the auditorium of the Provincial Municipality of Colonel Portillo, the new Ambassador thanked for this official appointment, since according to what he tells us, his work of helping indigenous peoples has been silent for a long time and 15 years without belonging to any institution or asking for support from the government, but managing personally through his European friends.

Visitors from Europe follow invitation
He revealed that through invitations he has managed to bring more than 2000 European tourists to Pucallpa in the Ucayali region in all these years.
In order for them to come to know the natural beauty of our Amazon jungle and the culture of the indigenous peoples, whose food, crafts, medicinal plants and wild animals, they like so much.
Through those journeys many peoples have been benefited by these illustrious visitors from developed countries, which has generated income for the community members in its various facets.
He said that today, when he has been officially recognized by the authorities as an indigenous ambassador, he will knock on the doors of other countries seeking help for his indigenous brothers and also, why not, for the mestizo inhabitants who live in these communities within the framework of interculturality that he has arranged government.
Future projects
In this sense, he revealed that among his projects are managing international higher education scholarships for low-income youth, as well as the installation of a Language Center, that is, not only English and Spanish, but also the languages of Shipibo Konibo.
On the other hand, he added that, in order for artisan mothers to have a properly implemented place to sell their ceramics and handicrafts, he will manage funds for the construction of "La Casa de Artesanías".
He pointed out that his goal is to bring an average of 800 tourists per year to our region.
